Diva by Swans R2 Rear Surround Speaker

Designed to be inconspicuously engineered into any living space, the Diva R2 is the smallest rear-channel surround in the Diva family. Featuring twin aluminum-magnesium-alloy 4” full-range drivers in an adaptive dipole array, the Diva R2 will deliver the rich, luscious, enveloping surround field that its plastic cube counterparts can only hope to emulate. The secret behind the Diva R2's ultra-small form factor is the phenomenal Swans M4N full-range 4” driver. This SUV in sub-compact form is capable of incredibly high linear excursion and utilizes an optimum-recovery CONEX supporting system to deliver incredible rigidity and dynamic stability – translating to effortless dynamics and high-power handling free of harmonic distortion plaguing most drivers in ultra-ordinary off-the-shelf home theater in a box systems. Of course it wouldn't be a Diva without the traditional high-quality ¾” MDF enclosures and beautifully sleek lines that are almost as pleasing on the eyes as they are on the ears…almost. Combined with the Diva C2 center channel, the Diva R2 is a no-compromise approach to home theater with even the most difficult placement challenges.

"Unpacking the Diva speakers brought back memories of Christmas past. We were amazed at the incredibly intricate shipping packages the Diva's arrived in. Once we let the speakers out of the bag, we were instantly impressed with the incredibly glossy, piano- like finish on top and bottom of the speakers. With a look similar to a B&W Nautilus speaker, we were impressed. Transitions between the two rear speakers was fantastic, the dipole speakers spread the sound out very well over the entire listening area. The THX Trailer "Tex II" illustrates this transition beautifully. Our listening are has various seating positions, many that are not in the "sweet spot". Even in the areas that are to the sides of the sweet spot, imaging was very good and a sense of depth was evident." - Cheap Home Theater (click logo for full .pdf review).
