Diva by Swans 4.1 Floorstanding Loudspeaker

The Diva 4.1 is a speaker simply unmatched in its class – boldly going where no sub-$1000.00 floor-standing loudspeaker has ever been. This model stands proudly on its own, and makes not only a graceful visual statement with its Signature Diva cabinet, but turns heads with its equally unique driver configuration and accurate response.

While the look is the work of the most slender enclosure in the Diva family, the real talent lies in the agile and effortless sonics emanating from the lightning-fast twin 5.25” midbass drivers. Working in concert within a precisely tuned enclosure, these components have the speed and accuracy to reproduce even the most subtle dynamics from The Matrix to Beethoven's Fifth. As in all Divas, the top-mounted 1” silk dome tweeter again handles the dispersion of remarkably silky and defined highs – providing the finishing touch to a presentation placing the 4.1 in the most elite company.

Don't let the elegant package fool you – the 4.1 packs a visceral punch and is comfortable in even the most demanding multi-channel listening rooms…all from a placement so inconspicuous that even the spouse will approve. The Diva 4.1 is a delightful alternative to big towers and hidden bookshelf miniatures in even the most challenging aesthetic environments.

"You won't believe what you will get with the Diva by Swans speakers, for $699/pair. These babies have an externally mounted silk dome tweeter in its own rocket-shaped enclosure that minimizes rear wave distortion, two metal cone mid/woofers, and real rosewood veneer (on all four sides, including the rear). The detail is all there. Voices are not overly sibilant. Midrange is clear, without chestiness or nasality. Thus, voices are natural. Bass is deep, slightly forward, but not boomy. The soundstage is wide, regardless of where I sit. The dispersion is excellent, making these speakers a good choice for family listening. They almost fell into position by themselves, so they are very easy to find a nice location in the room." - John E.
